Biography

Daughter of a local Vet, Jo spent her formative years observing and helping out in her father's busy practice. It was here that she first witnessed the benefits of acupuncture, when her father saw positive results in treating certain conditions in animals.

Jo's severe allergies to animals put paid to her ambition of following in her father's footsteps. Instead, she turned her interest to dentistry, completing her pre-clinical studies at Guys Hospital Dental School.

She took a career break in order to raise her four children. Her eyes were opened to alternative therapies when conventional medicine drew a blank in treating her son's serious and prolonged illness. From that time on, holistic therapies, acupuncture and homeopathy have featured prominently in her family's healthcare regime.

With all four children having departed to Uni, Jo decided to reinforce her original medical grounding, combining it with her holistic and artistic interests, by studying at the Healing and Acupuncture College, and currently practices at The Garden Room in Ipswich.

She continues her Professional Development under Nora Franglen at SOFEA in Harley Street, London and attends regular Professional Supervision.
